Julsy Spirals was born from a passion hula hoop performance, costume creation and crowd interaction. Julsy has been performing for over 10 years working on events for VOGUE, Space Ibiza and Elrow. Her first ever stage performance was at Sydney Opera House and she has performed at numerous festivals and events around the country and overseas.

Connecting with ‘friends she hasn’t met yet’ counts as one of her favourite past times, with parties and events enhancing this energy. One of her most cherished experiences was organising a Sydney Mardi Gras float. Over 85 hula hoopers and performers came together, to create a swirl of spinning glitter and memories to last a lifetime.

Five years ago Julsy moved to a remote area of the Northern Territory, before finally settling in Batchelor in 2022. Now she loves nothing more than come into Darwin and performing at local events.

You’ll catch Julsy serving spinning and smiles, as she hula hoops her way through the crowd during roving performances. She will captivate you with mesmerizing LED visuals as she creates magical light trails, and you’ll have a blast joining her for an interactive hula disco.

Recently Julsy’s hoops have been spinning through some incredible local Darwin events such as Bass in The Grass, Nightcliff Seabreeze Festival and Darwin Pride. Hula hooping is all about having fun and Julsy’s mission is to keep you smiling, because no-one can take life too seriously when there are hula hoops around.
